Christopher Schouten is a Member in Discernment in the Southwest Conference, joyfully following a call to ordained ministry rooted in justice, healing, and radical inclusion. A lifelong UCC member and current member of First Church Phoenix UCC, he has a deep commitment to supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and others who have been historically marginalized by the church. Christopher brings compassion, clarity, passion and creativity to his leadership as the leader of the new Southwest Conference Open and Affirming (ONA) Network and the Decentering Whiteness Task Force and is a member of the Personnel Committee. He has been a technology marketing executive for 30+ years across the U.S. and Europe, having lived 22+ years among other cultures and languages.
